Obituary for Denis Berry Sr.

Denis  Berry Sr.
Denis Berry Sr. 77 of Enfield, beloved husband of Monica (Lewin) Berry passed into Glory at home Thursday, June 23, 2016. Born in Hartford, CT, son of the late Emery Berry and Beaulah Brown, he lived in Enfield, Broad Brook (6 years). He was a graduate of Enfield High School. He worked at Pratt & Whitney and Sweet Life Foods. He retired in 1998. His passion was fishing and he loved to hunt and work in the garden. Every summer there was a garden, that eventually grew from 16 rows to an acre of land. He and his brother Bud (Emery) cleared more land and it has become a community garden shared with friends (Mr. Scruse, Sonny Eady, King Shannon, Cephus Nolan) Or the garden club. He was predeceased by three brothers Arthur, Eddie, William; three sisters Anna Williams, Helen Batchelor, Christine Ricketts and a granddaughter Dalila Berry-Scott.
He is survived by his wife Monica (Lewin) Berry of 56 years; three sons and three daughters Denise Berry of Enfield; Dennis Jr. (Suran) Berry of Springfield, MA; Dean (Eileen) Berry of Enfield; Doreen (Sean) McNulty of Enfield; Danny Berry of Enfield; Dawn (Raoul) Harvey of Manchester; nine special grand children Dominick, Kristen, Dexter, Nicholas, Cecelia, Travis, Monica, Julia and Adrianna; five great grandchildren Dylan, Lilyanna, Michael, Charee, Jeremiah; a host of nieces and nephews and all his special and sincere friends.
Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours Thursday, June 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. and a Service Friday July 1 from 10:00 to 12:00 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Vision New England, 38 Westview Drive, Sanford, ME 04073 or Thru the Bible.
