Irene C. (Thomasette) Bergeron, 84, longtime resident of Windsor Locks and loving wife of the late Albert F. Bergeron entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, September 23, 2016, at the Kindred Country Estates in Agawam. Irene was born December 17, 1931, in New Bedford, MA the daughter of the late Albert and Florence (Jolin) Thomasette. Irene was born and raised in New Bedford, MA and moved to Windsor Locks where she and Albert raised their family. She retired after 27 years from the Travelers Insurance Co where she was employed as a form analyst. Irene enjoyed her excursions with family and friends to Mohegan Sun. She is survived by her three children, Richard Bergeron and his wife, Kathy of Bristol, CT, Russell Bergeron and Janet Bergeron both of Windsor Locks; her grandson, Daniel James Bergeron and his fiancé, Laci Corridor of Bristol; her two sisters, Pauline Rusick and her husband, Frank and Jean Poulin all of Acushnet, MA and several nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by two grandsons, Paul Michael Bergeron and Michael Albert Bergeron. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Monday, September 26, 2016, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will gather at 9 am at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Feral Cats of East Windsor, P.O.
