Armand Roy, age 87, of Enfield passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 29, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jeannette Brule Roy and his children, Victor and Francine Roy, Michele Roy Lizee and son- in- law Michael Lizee, Larry Roy and Roberta and Robert Roy. His seven grandchildren, Pamela Roy, Jaime Lizee Smith, Michael Roy, Garrett Lizee, Kyle Roy, Amanda Roy, Brandie Roy and four great grandchildren. Son of Oram and Lydia Roy from Barre, VT and one of 14 children he is survived by siblings Bernard Roy, Robert Roy, Anita Roy Seguin, Donald Roy and Diane Roy Stevens, a host of nieces and nephews and predeceased by six brothers and two sisters. He was a Korean War veteran, attended the Wentworth Institute of Technology and worked for most of his career at Hamilton Sundstrand in Windsor Locks. He was active for 12 years in the Enfield town government serving as a Town Councilman and Mayor starting in the late 1960’s. He was a charter member of Holy Family Church. Family and friends may gather at Leete Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield at 10 a.m., on October 3, Monday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield. Burial will Military honors will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Enfield. His family will receive friends on October 2, Sunday 3 to 6 p.m., at the funeral home.
