Harry Payson  Parlee
Harry P. Parlee, 91, of Enfield, CT husband of the late Janet F. (Boske) Parlee passed away at home on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Harry was born August 16, 1925, in Hartford, CT the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Witherspoon) Parlee. Harry proudly served in the United States Navy as a signalman from 1946to 1948 during World War II aboard a destroyer. He was a member of the Enfield Senior Center where he enjoyed playing setback and singing to the others. He had a voice that would make the angels jealous. Harry was an avid sports fan rooting for the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins and the New York Giants. Harry is survived by a daughter, Leslye LaCafta and husband, Peter of Bloomfield; granddaughter, Alicia Martocchio and husband, Stephen of Enfield; son, Harry Parlee and wife, Barbara of Bristol, Craig Parlee of Enfield; daughters, Catherine Oikle and husband, Wayne of New Hampshire and Lauren Waterman and husband, Thomas of FL; daughter-in-law, Sandra Danise of PA; grandchildren, Rico Danise and wife, Amy and Dicia Heckman and husband, Adam all of PA. Harry was predeceased by a son, Enrico Danise; two brothers, Archie and Donald Parlee and two sisters, Kitty and Tina. There are no calling hours. Graveside services and burial with military honors will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 10 am in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, King St (Route 5) Enfield.
