Obituary for Liana E. "Lee" Brennan (Sanders)

Liana E. "Lee" Brennan (Sanders)
Liana "Lee" (Sanders) Brennan, 72, of Enfield, CT, took her final bow on December 5, 2016, at home with her family and dogs. She was born in Portland, OR; daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Hall) Sanders, eventually landing in Ashland, WI, by way of her father's career in the Merchant Marines. She graduated in 1961 from Ashland High School, and meandered several paths including hair dressing, waitressing, and real estate. In Lee's own words though, "the best job was at Bradley Field, Homeland Security TSA, a wonderful group of friends." She had a whimsical soul, a zest for life, loved laughing and community theater, and was passionate about her painting. She is remembered with love by her children, Dena Delaney-Boylan, of Woodbury, CT; Todd A. Delaney of Utah, Lisa Delaney and her husband Michael Allard of Enfield, CT; Debra Brennan of Enfield, CT; her grandchildren Tyler, Cheyenne, and Robert Delaney, and Kevin and Patrick Boylan; a great grandson, Dominic Delaney; her siblings, Melissa Lombardo of Ashland, WI; Robert Sanders and his wife Jo of Payson, AZ; Marilyn Christianson and her spouse Mark of Eden Prairie, MN; her "wife-in-law" Brenda Delaney of Berlin, NH; and several nieces and nephews, and friends from all walks of life, most especially her beloved Penni. She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Delaney, and her second husband, Thomas Brennan. Relatives and friends may join the family for visitation at Leete-Stevens, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 10:00 am to Noon, with a remembrance service immediately following. To celebrate Lee's artistic spirit, wearing bright colors is welcome. Memorial donations may be made to Enfield Loaves and Fishes, PO Box 544, Enfield, CT 06082 and Dakin Humane Society, PO Box 6307, Springfield, MA, 01101-6307.
