Michael A. DeFranzo III
Michael A. DeFranzo III, 58 of Staffordville, CT loving husband of 27 years to Susan (Spejewski) DeFranzo passed unexpectedly after a courageous battle with cancer. Michael was born January 31, 1959 in Hartford, CT; the son of Michael A. and Jean (Orlofski) DeFranzo, Jr. of Enfield. Michael also leaves his daughter Meaghan DeFranzo of Staffordville, who was his pride and joy, fishing partner and most precious gift, and her boyfriend Craig Fetridge of West Stafford. He was employed with UTAS, formerly Hamilton Standard, where he made many great friendships over his past 33 years of employment. Michael loved adventures, spending time with his family, going on long motorcycle rides, going to car shows, snowmobiling, hiking, and most of all floating and fishing with family and friends at the lake he loved, where he resided. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and shared his love of animals with his daughter, especially his dogs who were always faithfully by his side. He is also survived by his brother Tony DeFranzo and wife Tammy of Enfield, a sister Debby; his mother-in-law Margaret Spejewski of Enfield and father-in-law Chester Spejewski who pre-deceased him; His sister-in-law Beth Frechette and her partner Bob Clark of Somers; Brothers-in-law Rick Frechette of Sanford, NC and John Spejewski and his wife Bridget of Somers, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews; Randy, Christy, Andrew, Cameron, Alexis, James, Travis and Shauna, who were all special to him.
