Obituary for Frank A. Civitelli Jr.

Frank A. Civitelli, Jr. 68, of Enfield, loving husband to Barbara (Schiavone) Civitelli, entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital. Frank was born November 5, 1949, in New Haven, CT the son of the late Frank Sr. and Josephine (Sanna) Civitelli. He was employed for several years in the Railroad Industry as a Diesel Machinist. Frank was a huge sports fan and collector of memorabilia which opened the door for him to own his business, Rookies Plus in Florida and Yankee Gathering Place in Wallingford. Known for his love and passion of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants led to the nickname of "Yankee Fan". Frank was also a lover of animals especially his cats, Little Girl, Nino, Bella, and Goldie, his dog, Shakeno and his parakeet, Yankee Boy. In addition to his wife, Barbara to whom he was married 28 years he is also survived by a daughter, Melody Espada and her husband, Angelo of Wallingford; two grandchildren, Karissa and Michael Espada; a brother, Albert Civitelli of New London; two sisters, Theresa Civitelli of VA and Carolann Byers of New London; his sister-in-law, Sallyann Cooley and her husband, John of Enfield and several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by a son, Albert Jasuirkowski and a brother, Anthony Civitelli. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Saturday, December 9, 2017, from 10 am to 11 am at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral service will begin at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
