Donald T. Neild Jr., 69,of Enfield and devoted husband of 49 years to Claire (Roberge) Neild entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday, August 7, 2016, in the comfort of his own home. Don was born October 9, 1946, in Hartford, CT the son of the late Donald Sr. and Marie (Norris) Neild. In addition of to his loving wife Claire he is also survived by their two daughters, LoriAnn Ruiz and her husband, Rick of West Haven and Trish Neild Barry and her husband, Shaun of Enfield. He shared love and laughs with his six grandchildren, Katie, Jack, Matt, Sammy, Alex and Josh. He is also survived by his sister and friend Charlotte Neild of Bristol CT. He was a graduate of the East Hartford High School class of 1964 also known as the year of Brigadoon. His love of learning led to his under graduate studies at Central Connecticut State University and his M.B.A. from Renssaelaer Polytechnic Institute . Don retired from Hamilton Sunstrand June 30, 2004 as Supervisor Manufacturing Engineer after 28 years of service. He was not all study and service and no play...he enjoyed target and skeet shooting as a member of the Somers Sportsmen’s Association. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at from 9 am to 11 am at Leete–Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral procession will gather at the funeral home at 11 am for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 at St. Bernard Church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation of Parkinson’s Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 2174-5014.
